Southwest Foundations, Inc. was founded in 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada by R. Laird Whipple. Laird Whipple Concrete, as the company was first known, placed and finished concrete in the residential market. Laird and his wife, DeeAnn, built a reputation for hard work and customer service.

The company was the first concrete subcontractor to use post tension cables in production home slabs. It was also the first to place basements in production homes. As the operation grew, so did the scope and size of projects. The company expanded operations to include landscape installation and remodeling, water features, pavers, decorative concrete, cultured stone placement, and residential remodeling. Today, Southwest Foundations is proud to provide an array of construction solutions to southern Nevada.
